Supporting fundraising is one of the more noble acts people undertake in their daily lives.
Our belief is that the supporters, the fundraising group and the community must all benefit in the fundraising process, and we work tirelessly to ensure that happens.
The U.S. education system has taken some hits over the past few decades due to extreme budget cuts. Fewer funds to go around has meant the reduction and cancelation of core skill-building programs. Technical and performing arts are nonexistent in some places.
Library, technology, and equipment budgets have withered on the vine, and most schools can no longer subsidize valuable extracurricular clubs and events.
This has created a noticeable shift in today’s school environment. It’s clear that learning has become less joyful for students and more stressful for teachers. It’s demotivating for everyone.
As a result,
a) Fewer leaders emerge
b) Overburdened parents are expected to make up the shortfall, placing even more stress on them
Our fast-changing world makes it hard to picture what the future will bring. One thing’s for certain, though.
Skills like empathy, planning, and problem-solving are valuable and will always be necessary. It’s our firm belief that engaging kids in school-backed organizations and activities teaches them these skills and prepares them for the greater world.
We invented this new take on the traditional fundraiser with one thing at the forefront of our minds: Equipping the young people of this generation to be the leaders and helpers of their day. If we prepare them to tackle the challenges they face, they can do the same for those who follow.
